Game Franchises That Need To Die

X-Play recently started compiling a list of gaming franchises that, although may have had their place in gaming history, have reached the end of their road.
While I can agree that Yu-Gi-Oh! (actually I’m not sure that franchise should have ever begun, let alone come to an end) needs to die, it’s painful to see Megaman and Sonic on the list. I guess all good things must come to an end.
On a side note, it’s interesting how a few other old school franchises have endured the years and are still going strong. Mario Bros., Metroid, Zelda, and Madden … just to name a few. On the other hand, there are other franchises that have died and deserve to make a comeback - Bonk’s Adventure anyone?

X-Play makes me want to stab baby animals. Their attempt at humor barely hits the junior-high-school mark (proven by my brother-in-law’s love for all of their “jokes”). That is why I don’t think they are qualified to put together a list like this…
But they have Morgan Webb. And she’s supposedly hot or something.

If G4 were smart they’d move Layla Kayleigh to X-Play. After a while, I’m sure she could learn the craft of pretending to be gamer just as well as Morgan - and besides, she really is hot:
I’ll second that. I don’t understand the obsession with Morgan Webb at all. There are much better looking women on that sorry excuse for a channel.
The best part of that video was the first 7 seconds… then it started showing too much G4 and I wanted to punt a newborn kitten again.
“X-Play makes me want to stab baby animals.” Talk about an ATTEMPT at humor. If I could somehow relate to that, perhaps it could somehow be funny. It’s kind of strange how people who hate G4 so much would watch G4 programs, and then COMPLAIN about it. I mean, if you hate it because it sucks, why are you watching it??? THAT is humorous. And who cares if Morgan is hot or not. That’s what pr0n is for. Pr0n = hot chicks, news = who cares. I’m just happy that the gaming industry has finally, after DECADES, gained enough weight to get it’s own channel on TV. Depending on G4’s success, there could be more to follow.
But of course when people run around trashing it, especially gamers, then everyone’s going to think it was a bad idea and we’ll end up with NO gaming channels. That might not be a very bad thing if the target audience judges content by humor and by how hot the hostess is, and has thoughts of animal cruelty. Probably mad cuz they trashed your Yu-Gay-Oh game.
