The Coolest Mario Cake You’ll See Today

Mmm, cake. The only thing better than cake, is a really cool Nintendo cake. I’m not sure how the girl who made this created all the different stuff like Mario, and the “burst” hole where Mario is jumping out of. It looks like frosting, but seems a little to thick to be just regular old frosting; but what do I know, the only cake I know how to make comes in a box from the grocery store. I was a bit surprised at how much time and planning went into this cake:

Sculpting this cake truly brought back many fond memories of days when sis and I had Nintendo consoles permanently attached to our palms. … It always starts off with a sketch; which I was pretty happy with … and began working on it 3 days ago. It does take many hours to painfully sculpt every little detail but the outcome usually is rewarding when more effort is put in.

The attention to detail is especially impressive - with the mushrooms, green rolling hills on the side of the cake, and a giant frosting Mario. I’d almost feel bad eating a cake this cool … almost. Also, if you still haven’t clicked on one of the cake links above, you really should do it now.
