Call of Duty 4 Pre-Alpha Gameplay

GameVideos.com has a new vid up showing some pre-alpha gameplay for Call of Duty 4. The game has a new modern setting, which I must say I’m excited for. I got pretty burned out on all the World War II shooters that have been coming down the pike in the last few years. And, yeah, I guess futuristic shooters are nothing new, either, this one just looks so damn cool. When they turn on the night vision, you can’t tell me your pulse doesn’t quicken. It’s just really well done.

Okay, enough gushing, just watch the video.

This game looks awesome. I’m glad to see the Call of Duty franchise finally move beyond World War II … I haven’t bought any of the WWII themed shooters for a while, after burning out on them several years ago.

Oh god that looked awesome for a pre-alpha build.

CoD series are the best shooter games. I just love the fact that you get to know the characters around you.

Seeing the part where the enemy soldier tries to wrestle a gun out of your team mate is awesome.

I can’t wait for this game, I’m willing to upgrade my computer just to play this properly.

You know, even though I said I got burned out by WWII games, one thing that I really liked about the Call of Duty games is that camaraderie you have with your AI squad mates. I’m just glad this is coming for 360 too, because my computer SUCKS.
