    4 player
As reported by PRETTY MUCH EVERY WEBSITE ON THE PLANET, we learned today that Bungie is including 4-player online co-op in Halo 3. I guess you could call the news a Megaton. This comes on the heels of the implosion the intarwebz experienced a few weeks ago when leaked scans from the latest issue of EGM purportedly showed that Bungie wasn’t going to include online co-op in Halo 3 at all. Well, you know how sane and rational people are on the internet, so of course it was blown wildly out of proportion.

Anyway, Bungie now has revealed all (well, maybe not ALL) the juicy details about the feature. I, for one, was a little surprised that they upped the ante to include 4 players. I think most people would have been happy with just two, but hey, why not? They’ve also gone the extra step of making your co-op buddies fit into the fiction of the game instead of just cloning the Master Chief. As such, player two will be the Arbiter, and players three and four will take on the roles of two new elites whose backgrounds I’m sure we’ll learn more about in the next couple months. Or maybe not. Bungie does like to play their cards close to the vest. Anyway, stop reading my drivel and go read it straight from the horse’s mouth.
