DragonForce: A Video Game Paradox

According to Wired Magazine’s Blog, the band DragonForce’s music sales have increased 183% over the past week due to the inclusion of “Through the Fire and Flames” on Guitar Hero III. Now, there’s something incredibly strange about this, because after massacring the song during an online faceoff a few days ago, I realized I never wanted to be reminded of this song outside of GHIII. The continual pain in my fingers and wrist are reminder enough.
Oddly enough, the song sounds like it was created specifically with Guitar Hero in mind. It comes across like a video game theme with good reason. According to the ever-reliable Wikipedia, the band is largely influenced by video games, and the name DragonForce is apparently derived from the NES game Dragon Warrior. (which I remember getting for free from Nintendo Power just for subscribing. What a deal!) So how strange is it that a band inspired by video games finally becomes famous after becoming part of a video game themselves? Is this to say DragonForce would never exist if video games did not exist? And what kind of world would that be? Also, if a tree falls in the forest, can it please fall on DragonForce?
Maybe it’s just me. Do you want to have “Through the Fire and Flames” blasting from your car stereo?

No, I’d rather have “Black Winter Night” blasting from my car stereo!
Seriously, what’s up with these comments that say “[…][…]”??
