    Bionic Commando Can Jump!

GameVideos.com has just released a new video of the upcoming XBox version of Bionic Commando. And as you’ll see, not only can the dude pick up and whip boxes, vehicles, and even unsuspecting Nazis (Probably not Nazis), he can also JUMP! Since the NES version is notorious for the Commando’s lack of ups, this is an interesting development.

It does look fun to swing giant objects around, but I can’t help but notice the Commando’s vulnerability during these moves. He’s getting riddled with bullets while he picks up, swings, and throws stuff around! If you’re like me, you hate getting shot in games, so chances are you’ll skip this gimmick after a few minutes and go right to trading lead. I guess that kind of defeats the whole ‘Bionic’ thing, but if you’re having him jump anyway, we might as well abandon everything else that made the original unique.
